ISLAMABAD, Aug 07 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has adjourned the hearing of a petition related to Bushra Bibi, the former first lady of Pakistan, until August 12. The petition seeks information about cases registered against Bushra Bibi in connection with the May 9 incidents.
During the hearing, IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq was informed by SSP Operations Rawalpindi that Bushra Bibi had not been arrested in the May 9 cases. However, a bail application was recently submitted in the anti-terrorism court, and since the judge was on leave, the sessions court granted bail.
Sardar Latif Khosa, counsel for the petition, informed the court that Bushra Bibi’;s arrest was actually made in connection to a case in Attock. After hearing the arguments of the parties, the court adjourned further hearing on the application till August 12.
